2023-24 Women’s March Madness odds: Iowa’s loss shifts odds; UConn surging
The South Carolina Gamecocks seem unstoppable, and at 23-0, that might very well be the case.
Their odds to win the women’s college basketball national championship are currently +160 after defeating No. 11 UConn 83-65 over the weekend.
Tied at second on the board are the defending champion LSU Tigers and the Iowa Hawkeyes.
Iowa’s odds lengthened slightly to +800 from +700 after it fell 82-79 to Nebraska on Feb. 11.
Though the Hawkeyes’ odds to win it all got longer, all eyes are still on Caitlin Clark — the 6-foot senior who leads the country in both points and assists per game.
Fans and bettors are now watching to see when Clark will break the women’s all-time scoring record, currently owned by Kelsey Plum.
As of Monday, Clark is eight points shy of making history. The Hawekeyes next play Thursday against Michigan.
