The Purdue Boilermakers are on a four-game winning streak, which includes a 92-84 victory over the then-No. 1 ranked Arizona Wildcats.

As a result, Matt Painter’s Boilermakers and reigning National Player of the Year Zach Edey saw their odds to win the national title shorten from +950 to +850.

The Wildcats, who’ve lost two of their last three, remain at +1000.

A team that moved up the oddsboard is Houston.

The Cougars are a perfect 12-0. Their most recent win was a 72-37 victory over the Texas State Bobcats. Houston’s odds to win it all shortened from +1500 to +1200.

Defending champion UConn saw its odds lengthen from +1100 to +1400 after a 75-60 loss to Seton Hall and then a close 69-65 win over St. John’s.

The Duke Blue Devils also saw their odds shorten.

Last week, the Blue Devils’ title odds were +2600, but now those odds have shortened slightly to +2500 and College Basketball Broadcaster and Reporter John Fanta is keeping his eyes on one player in particular — Jared McCain.

“The freshman had his finest hour for Jon Scheyer’s program thus far, sparking Duke’s 9-0 surge in a 78-70 win over Baylor at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday,” Fanta wrote. “McCain finished with 21 points for the second time in three games, shooting 7-for-11 from the floor.

“With Tyrese Proctor still out of the lineup but inching closer to a comeback, it’s imperative that McCain continues to elevate his game. Look out for Duke to keep coming on.”
