2024 Bronny James NBA Draft odds: Will Lakers take Bronny at No. 55?

With Round 1 of the 2024 NBA Draft in the books, all eyes are now on Bronny James ahead of Round 2.

So which team is favored to land him?

Prior to the first round, the Dallas Mavericks were rumored to be interested, causing their odds to move from +2500 to +900 over the past week.

Bronny only worked out with two teams ahead of the draft — the Los Angeles Lakers and the Phoenix Suns.

Despite the rumors, the Lakers are currently huge favorites to draft Bronny.

Will Bronny James be drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers?

Just last week, Los Angeles was listed at +160 to draft him. They closed at -135 before Round 1, and now, that number has moved all the way to -390.

His current Over/Under draft position is set at 54.5 at both DraftKings and FanDuel Sportsbooks.

The Lakers had the 17th pick and predictably passed on Bronny. Instead, they selected Dalton Knecht from Tennessee , apick that many regard as one of the “steals” of the first round, as Knecht was projected to be a top ten pick in most expert mock drafts.

Los Angeles has the 55th pick remaining, and that is where FOX Sports college basketball reporter John Fanta sees Bronny landing.

“He will get drafted 55th by the Los Angeles Lakers,” Fanta said on Thursday’s episode of “The Carton Show.”

Bronny played in 25 games at USC, averaging 19.4 minutes per contest, as he missed the first month of the season after he suffered cardiac arrest last August.

He averaged 4.8 points and 2.1 assists per game last season.
