2024 College Football Playoff odds: Oregon, Texas favored; Boise State rising

After seven weeks of college football, Oregon and Texas now have the shortest odds to make the 12-team Playoff, tied at -2000.

The Ducks defeated Ohio State 32-31, and their odds to secure a spot in the postseason shortened from -800.

Texas toppled Oklahoma in a Red River rout and saw its line move from -1100.

The Playoff is officially expanding to 12 teams this year, meaning an early-season loss or midseason conference loss might not torpedo a program’s chances of competing for a national title, like in years past.
