2024 MLB MVP race, odds: Aaron Judge, Shohei Ohtani remain heavy favorites

We’re just weeks away from the start of the MLB postseason, and the MVP races in both leagues seem to be all but decided.

In the AL, Aaron Judge is holding steady as the odds-on favorite at -3000. At the beginning of August, he was -900 to win the award.

The Bronx Bomber has hit for .321 with 132 RBI and 53 home runs.

Complementing his extraordinary year, Judge recently became the fastest player to 300 home runs. On August 25, he hit his 50th homer for the New York Yankees in the 2024 season.

Aaron Judge, New York Yankees: -3000 (bet $10 to win $10.33 total)

In the NL, Shohei Ohtani is still head and shoulders above the rest as the odds-on favorite. However, there was a slight shift over the last week.

Ohtani recently moved to -2500 from -900.

The Dodgers’ megastar has a .290 batting average, 47 homers and 106 RBI. On August 3, he became the first player this season to join the 30/30 club when he notched three steals against the Oakland A’s.

He is the third-fastest player in MLB history to reach that milestone, when factoring number of games played.

Eric Davis reached the mark in 90 games in 1987 and Alex Rodriguez accomplished the feat in 107 games in 1998.

Ohtani made a little more history on Sept. 8, as he hit his 46th homerun of the season, tying his career high.
