2024 NFL Coach of the Year odds: O’Connell atop oddsboard; Harbaugh rising
Just like player awards, NFL Coach of the Year is a race where the odds will fluctuate throughout the season.
For instance, on July 8, the preseason favorite to win the award was Bears coach Matt Eberflus, at +900. Now that Chicago is 3-2, his odds are down at +3500.
Instead, Kevin O’Connell is the favorite to win the award. And not only is he the favorite for the fourth consecutive week, his odds continue to get shorter.
Let’s check out the latest odds at DraftKings Sportsbook as of Oct 15.
2024-25 NFL Coach of the Year odds:
Kevin O’Connell, Vikings: +140 (bet $10 to win $24 total)
Dan Quinn, Commanders: +400 (bet $10 to win $50 total)
Jim Harbaugh, Chargers: +550 (bet $10 to win $65 total)
Sean Payton, Broncos: +1200 (bet $10 to win $130 total)
Dan Campbell, Lions: +1200 (bet $10 to win $130 total)
Raheem Morris, Falcons: +1400 (bet $10 to win $150 total)
Demeco Ryans, Texans: +1500 (bet $10 to win $160 total)
Mike Tomlin, Steelers: +1600 (bet $10 to win $170 total)
O’Connell’s odds to win Coach of the Year have moved to +140 from +160 over the last week, with his Vikings off to a 5-0 start. They had a bye in Week 6.
Making the biggest leap this week is the Chargers’ Jim Harbaugh, after his team’s in-division road win over the Broncos.
As of last week, he was fifth on the board at +1400. He’s now third at +550.
