2024 NFL Offensive Player of the Year odds: Barkley favored; Henry rises
Tyreek Hill of the Miami Dolphins led the NFL in receiving yards (1,799) last season and was the co-leader in receiving touchdowns (13), which explains why he was the early favorite to win Offensive Player of the Year.
However, a concussion suffered by his quarterback Tua Tagovailoa in Week 2 appears to have cratered Hill’s chances, at least according to the sportsbooks.
He is now +3000 at DraftKings Sportsbook.
Hill finished second in the award race to the Niners’Christian McCaffrey last year, and McCaffrey is no longer in the running as well, after San Francisco placed its star running back on IR this week.
So if not Hill or McCaffrey, who will be named the league’s top offensive star this season?
Here’s a look at the latest odds from DraftKings Sportsbook as of Sept. 24.
NFL OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR ODDS:
Saquon Barkley, Eagles RB: +350 (bet $10 to win $45 total)
Justin Jefferson, Vikings WR: +600 (bet $10 to win $70 total)
CeeDee Lamb, Cowboys WR: +800 (bet $10 to win $90 total)
Nico Collins, Texans WR: +1200 (bet $10 to win $130 total)
Derrick Henry, Ravens WR: +1500 (bet $10 to win $160 total)
Amon-Ra St. Brown, Lions RB: +1800 (bet $10 to win $190 total)
Breece Hall, Jets RB: +2000 (bet $10 to win $210 total)
Ja’Marr Chase, Bengals WR: +2000 (bet $10 to win $210 total)
For the second consecutive week, the Eagles’ new running back Barkley is atop the oddsboard. Through three weeks, he has a league-leading 351 rushing yards and is tied for the league lead in rushing scores with four.
He moved from +500 to +350 over the past week.
Moving into second on the oddsboard is Jefferson, who was third last week. His odds jumped from +1000 to +600.
And serving as a blast from the past, Henry is now fifth on the oddsboard, after a dominant showing at Dallas in Week 3, where he rushed for 151 yards and two TDs on 25 carries.
