The WNBA playoffs begin on Sept. 22, and as the season winds down, the MVP odds are on the move.

Not only is Las Vegas star A’ja Wilson the heavy favorite, her odds to win the award are getting shorter. Over the last two weeks, Wilson’s odds moved to -3500 from -3000.

Currently, she is averaging 27.5 points and 12 rebounds per game. And with a 20-12 record, she’s helped her squad clinch a playoff berth.

At BetMGM, Wilson opened as the betting favorite at +175 to win the award. By late May, those odds had shortened to +100.

Another player whose odds bettors are watching is Indiana’sCaitlin Clark.

The Fever rookie’s MVP futures have moved to +7500 from +6000 over the last two weeks.

Let’s dive into the odds at FanDuel Sportsbook as of Sept. 3.

WNBA MVP ODDS:

A’ja Wilson, Aces: -3500 (bet $10 to win $10.29 total)

Napheesa Collier, Lynx: +3000 (bet $10 to win $310 total)

Caitlin Clark, Fever: +7500 (bet $10 to win $760 total)

Sabrina Ionescu, Liberty: +15000 (bet $10 to win $1,510 total)

Breanna Stewart, Liberty: +20000 (bet $10 to win $2,010 total)

Currently, Clark is averaging 18.7 points, 8.4 assists and 5.6 rebounds.

On Aug. 16, the rookie had a spectacular game in her team’s win over Phoenix, with 29 points, 10 assists and five rebounds.

However, with just a couple weeks left in the regular season, Indiana is still playing to secure its postseason position.

Despite Wilson being a huge favorite in oddsmakers’ eyes, on a recent episode of “The Herd,”Colin Cowherd explained the impact Caitlin Clark has had so far on the league.

“If you want to see the Caitlin Clark effect, here it is,” he said. “Bad team, small market, and [Indiana is] worth more than the Los Angeles Sparks, the Dallas, Atlanta and Washington teams, and almost equal to a team in Chicago.

“Caitlin Clark, to some degree, is saving the WNBA. It’s an incredibly harsh reality.”
