* odds as of 6/10/24
After losing their previous series in Pittsburgh, the Dodgers rebounded nicely at Yankee Stadium this past weekend. Rookie phenom Yoshinobu Yamamoto got the Dodgers off to a hot start Friday night as he threw seven shutout innings.
However, the story of the weekend was Teoscar Hernandez.
Hernandez was dominant at the plate, going 6-for-12 in the series with three home runs and nine RBIs.
He hit a game-winning two-run double on Friday and a statement eighth inning grand slam on Saturday.

The Dodgers signed Hernandez to a one-year, $23.5 million contract this past offseason.
On a different note, the Reds have come out of nowhere over the last ten days.
In that span, the Reds have won eight of ten games. Their odds to win the World Series have jumped from 150-1 to 90-1 over the last week.
Recently, the Reds have been riding their hot starting pitching to impressive sweeps over the Dodgers and Rockies. Behind the stellar play of their young arms In Nick Lodolo, Andrew Abbott and Hunter Greene, they have also won five of their last seven games against division-rival Chicago Cubs.
After being 20-30 at one point this season, the Reds are currently 32-34. They have the second-best record in the NL’s Central Division, sitting 6.5 games behind the Milwaukee Brewers. They will look to continue their momentum into a tough series against the Cleveland Guardians to start this week.
