For the second consecutive week, Shedeur Sanders holds steady as the favorite to get chosen first in the 2025 NFL draft.

At the end of April, Sanders opened as the favorite in this spot. But as recently as two weeks ago, his odds had gotten as long as +850, dropping him to fourth on the list.

Now he’s back on top with the shortest odds at +410, shortening slightly from +450 over the last week.

In the Buffaloes‘ Week 9 34-23 win over Cincinnati, Sanders passed for 323 yards and two touchdowns.

He complemented that effort with his ground game, rushing for one TD with his legs.

Is Shedeur Sanders the best QB in College Football?

After Sanders is Miami’s Cam Ward.

The Hurricanes’ QB’s 208 passing yards against Florida State helped move him to +650 from +750.

Shedeur’s teammate Travis Hunter rounds out the top three, staying put at +750 for the second week in a row.

“If Hunter were to focus on just one of the positions he plays, he is talented enough to warrant a top-10 draft selection. If teams feel that he is able to play both positions in the NFL as dominantly as he has for Colorado, he just might be the No. 1 overall selection — which is exactly where I placed him in my early mock draft,” FOX Sports NFL Draft analyst Rob Rang wrote about Hunter.

What makes Miami’s Cam Ward an NFL caliber prospect?

A few players whose odds have fallen in this spot are Georgia’s Carson Beck, Texas’ Quinn Ewers and Alabama’s Jalen Milroe.

The Dawgs were idle in Week 9, and during that time, Beck’s No. 1 draft pick odds moved to +750 from +700.

The Longhorns QB, however, saw his line move more, shifting to +1100 after being tied with Beck at +700.

Another big shift was Bama’s Milroe, who fell to +2200 from +1500.
