The Browns find themselves in the middle of the pack in terms of Super Bowl odds, but their chances presumably took a hit on Monday, when it was announced that star running back Nick Chubb would begin the season on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list.

Chubb is recovering from a season-ending knee injury suffered in Week 2 of last season, and he will miss at least the first four games of the upcoming season.

From 2019-2022, Chubb, 28, racked up four consecutive 1,000-yard rushing seasons for the Browns and four straight Pro Bowl nods.

Another team hoping to eke its way up the oddsboard are the Cowboys, who are embroiled in a contract stand-off with their quarterback Dak Prescott and star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb.

Reports Monday are that Dallas increased its offer to Lamb to over $33 million per year. Lamb is entering the final year of his rookie deal, and did not participate in training camp or offseason practice with the team.

Lamb has put together three consecutive 1,000-yard receiving seasons in Dallas and was first-team All-Pro in 2023.

Super Bowl LIX will be played at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana, on Feb. 9, 2025, and will be broadcast on FOX and the FOX Sports app.
