The subcompact crossover, Fiat’s only all-wheel-drive vehicle, received a new 1.3-liter turbocharged engine in the 2019 model year. For 2020, a new black roof option is available on all models. An FCA designer recently posted a sketch on Instagram of a 500X Sport edition that might be in the pipeline, but a brand spokesman declined to share details. One forecaster has a new model arriving in the 2023 model year.
