Hertz’s struggles could pose risk to used-vehicle market

The car rental giant has until May 4 to make missed lease payments related to the vehicles it rents out or convince lenders to waive a potential default. If creditors decide to liquidate a large portion of the fleet to repay bonds it could add to price volatility in the used-vehicle market, Benchmark analyst Michael Ward wrote.
