NEXT STAGE: New in 2020
The midengine hypercar, which debuted at the Frankfurt auto show in 2017, continues to be bogged down by delays. It was expected to arrive in the second half of 2019, but has since gotten delayed until 2020. The AMG One uses a Formula One-based drive-train to produce more than 1,000 hp, and will be priced at about $2.5 million. AMG plans to make 275 of the hypercars during a roughly two-year production run. The U.S. allotment of 55 supercars is already sold out.
