Hometown cookin’

Isiah Pacheco went to school at nearby Rutgers, and he gave his a hometown stadium a hearty welcome with this 48-yard house call.

Gray area

Kansas City’s offense was humming in the first quarter, and it went up 17-0 courtesy of another masterful drive from Patrick Mahomes, who found Noah Gray for his first TD of the night.

Going deep!

When in doubt, air it out. Zach Wilson struggled early on, but he found some light on this deep heave to the Allen Lazard, which set up a Jets field goal.

Defense to offense

The Jets flew back into the game with a slew of huge plays to close the gap to five. First, Ashtyn Davis picked off Mahomes …

… before Wilson put up a floater to C.J. Uzomah for the TD.

Tie game!

After falling behind 17-0, the Jets made it a 20-20 ballgame on a seven-play, 76-yard drive to open the second half. Wilson fired a dot to Lazard for the TD before making things happen with his feet for the two-point conversion.

Loose ball!

Things remained knotted until the fourth quarter, and after going up three with a field goal, the Chiefs earned another chance after Wilson mishandled a snap in the backfield.

Ice in his veins

There’s just something about that Mahomes guy. The Chiefs didn’t give New York another opportunity after collecting the fumble, ticking 7:24 off the clock and icing the game on this smooth slide from Mahomes. K.C. was able to enter into victory formation after the play, as New York had spent its remaining timeouts.
