Week 6 of the NFL season continued Sunday with several entertaining games.

The New York Giants and the Buffalo Bills closed out the day with a down-to-the-wire battle. The Bills were able to avoid a major upset and defeat the Giants, 14-9, by forcing an incomplete pass on the 1-yard line on the game’s final play to win.

Earlier, there were a handful of pivotal divisional matchups happening around the league, and the NFL’s last two remaining unbeaten teams — the Philadelphia Eagles and the San Francisco 49ers — went down in stunning fashion.

Before that, the Baltimore Ravens kicked things off by beating the Tennessee Titans at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London in the third of five international games slated for the 2023 season.

Here are the top moments!

FINAL: Buffalo Bills 14, New York Giants 9

OK, Okereke!

Giants LB Bobby Okereke knocked the ball out of Gabe Davis‘ arm following a reception by the Bills receiver, giving New York the ball and good field position before taking a 3-0 lead.

Jumping in to make the stop

Taron Johnson made a key tackle on third-and-18, helping the Bills’ defense to get off the field to hold the Giants to a field goal. The ensuing kick gave the Giants a 6-0 lead after the Bills missed a field goal on the previous drive.

Josh Allen briefly departs, but Damien Harris stretchered off

The Bills QB had to briefly leave the game after his head appeared to hit the turf as Okereke knocked him to the ground following a pass, which drew a roughing the passer penalty. Allen returned to the field though after two snaps.

Shortly after Allen’s return though, Harris suffered an injury serious enough that he had to be stretchered off and taken away by an ambulance. The Bills running back gave a thumbs-up as he was placed on the stretcher. He had movement in his arms and legs before being taken to a local hospital for further evaluation.

Owning the game

After forcing a fumble in the first quarter, the Giants LB helped force another turnover late in the first half. He tipped Allen’s pass over the middle to Micah McFadden for an interception, giving the Giants the ball back right before halftime as they led, 6-0.

What are you doing?

After getting a penalty on a pass into the end zone, the Giants opted to run the ball from the Bills’ 1-yard line with 14 seconds left. But there was a big problem with that. The Giants didn’t have any timeouts remaining, and when Saquon Barkley was stuffed, New York was left empty-handed as a result.

Fight!

As the Bills were driving down the field late in the third quarter, several players on both teams got into it, including Allen. Multiple unsportsmanlike conduct penalties were assessed, but no one was ejected.

Doing it for Buffalo

Buffalo finally found the end zone to open the fourth quarter, with Allen hitting Deonte Harty out of the backfield for a score that gave it a 7-6 lead.

Barkley breaks loose

The Giants star running back helped New York get down the field in a hurry after the Bills took the lead, rushing for 33 yards on one play to set it up for a field goal and take a 9-7 lead.

On the money

Quintin Morris made his first catch of the season at a big time, coming down with Allen’s 15-yard pass in the end zone to give the Bills a 14-9 lead late.

Bills break it up

Tyrod Taylor decided to go deep on a fourth-and-8 play with just under two minutes left, but the Bills broke up the pass to get the ball back.

Darren doesn’t bring it in

The Giants got the ball back at their own 43-yard line after a missed field goal from the Bills with just under 90 seconds left. Taylor was able to drive the Giants down to the Bills’ 10-yard line with two seconds remaining. His pass to the end zone on that play fell incomplete, but the Bills were called for pass interference, putting the Giants at the 1-yard line for an untimed down.

Instead of giving the ball to Barkley, the Giants decided to pass it. Taylor tried to connect with Darren Waller in the back of the end zone, but the tight end wasn’t able to come down with the catch, giving the Bills the win.

FINAL: New York Jets, 20, Philadelphia Eagles 14

Bold decision

The Eagles were first on the board after Jalen Hurts‘ 3-yard score that was ruled a TD after initially being called a fumble.

Big boy INT!

With Sauce Gardner out, Quinnen Williams decided he’d make a big play in pass coverage, recording a key interception for the Jets.

Shifty Swift for six!

D’Andre Swift extended the Eagles’ lead on a 9-yard touchdown reception, breaking off a tackle in front of the goal line before working his way in for six.

That Hurts

The Eagles QB made a costly mistake, throwing a pass straight to Jets DB Tony Adams, who returned the ball inside the Eagles’ 10-yard line. Breece Hall rushed the ball in for a score on the next play, giving the Jets a 20-14 lead and the win.

FINAL: Los Angeles Rams 26, Arizona Cardinals 9

Ol’ reliable

Matthew Stafford found his favorite target for a touchdown for the first time this season, connecting with Cooper Kupp for a 13-yard score that helped keep momentum on the Rams’ side for the rest of the game.

FINAL: Detroit Lions 20, Tampa Bay Buccaneers 6

Lions get a turnover

Lions cornerback Will Harris came down with a tipped pass thrown by Baker Mayfield to start things off with a bang!

Getting some help

Amon-Ra St. Brown gave the Lions a 10-3 lead on his touchdown reception in the second quarter, but it wouldn’t have been possible if it weren’t for Craig Reynolds‘ block on a Buccaneers defender.

Meanwhile, Lions standout running back David Montgomery departed the game in the first half due to an injury. His X-rays returned negative, FOX Sports’ Pam Oliver reported, but the Lions ruled him out for the game in the second half.

Just Jameson

Jameson Williams broke loose to haul in a deep grab for a 45-yard TD, extending the Lions’ lead in the third quarter.

FINAL: Las Vegas Raiders 21, New England Patriots 17

On the move

Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams was crushed by Patriots defensive back Jabrill Peppers, who knocked the ball into the air and into the hands of linebacker Jahlani Tavai for an absolutely wild interception.

Later, a pair of ex-Patriots — Jimmy Garoppolo and WR Jakobi Meyers — hooked up for a 12-yard touchdown.

Mac to Moehrig

Patriots QB Mac Jones made an unforced error late in the first half, throwing a ball straight to Raiders safety Tre’Von Moehrig for an interception.

Slinging it

Garoppolo was transferred to a local hospital after suffering a back injury in the first half, leaving the Raiders with backup Brian Hoyer, who completed a 48-yard pass to Tre Tucker to help L.V. pick up a crucial first down in the third quarter.

For the win!

Maxx Crosby sealed the game for the Raiders, recording a sack in the end zone for a safety.

FINAL: Minnesota Vikings 19, Chicago Bears 13

Vikings break through

The Vikings took the lead when Kirk Cousins hit rookie WR Jordan Addison for a 10-yard touchdown just before halftime.

Chicago disaster

Justin Fields went into the tunnel early in the third quarter with a right hand injury and was ruled out.

Tyson Bagent came in at quarterback and was promptly strip-sacked by Vikings safety Josh Metellus, and Jordan Hicks picked up and ran the loose ball back 46 yards for a Minnesota touchdown. The rest was history.

FINAL: Cleveland Browns 19, San Francisco 49ers 17

That was fast!

San Francisco took the lead on its opening possession when Christian McCaffrey corralled a pitch from QB Brock Purdy and ran it into the end zone for a 13-yard score.

Shortly after, the Niners lost star wideout Deebo Samuel, who left the game and was ruled out due to a shoulder injury.

Browns on the board

Three plays after QB PJ Walker connected with wide receiver Amari Cooper for a 58-yard pickup, Kareem Hunt ran in a 16-yard touchdown for the Browns, which then trailed 10-7.

That’s mine!

Cooper went up and came down with a contested 27-yard catch near the sideline to put the Browns in field-goal range.

Niners regain lead

One play after 49ers defensive back Deommodore Lenoir picked off Walker, Jordan Mason ran in an 8-yard touchdown.

Browns win!

Cleveland got two field goals late in the fourth quarter, but San Francisco still got in position to kick a game-winning field goal. However, Jake Moody missed the 41-yarder with six seconds remaining, handing Purdy his first regular-season loss.

Texans take the win

Houston got a field goal after the New Orleans touchdown and then scored its second touchdown after forcing a three-and-out when Stroud hooked up with wide receiver Robert Woods for a 6-yard score to seal the win.

FINAL: Washington Commanders 24, Atlanta Falcons 16

Falcons fired up

Washington opened the game with a 12-play field-goal drive, and then Atlanta put together an 11-play scoring drive, as Desmond Ridder hit tight end Kyle Pitts in the back of the end zone for a 9-yard score.

Special teams set up TD

Jamison Crowder returned a punt 61 yards down to the Falcons’ 11-yard line to help set up a crucial Commanders TD.

Taking advantage

Atlanta turned the ball over at Washington’s 48-yard line, and the latter capitalized on the superb field position. On the seventh play of the drive, QB Sam Howell hooked up with wide receiver Curtis Samuel for an 8-yard touchdown.

Get out of the way!

Two plays after Commanders cornerback Kendall Fuller intercepted Ridder, and running back Brian Robinson took a short pass from Howell 24 yards into the end zone.

Commanders linebacker Jamin Davis intercepted Ridder, who threw three picks Sunday, once again to end the game.

FINAL: Cincinnati Bengals 17, Seattle Seahawks 13

Bengals respond

Cincinnati scored a touchdown on its first possession when Joe Burrow hit wide receiver Tyler Boyd for an 8-yard score.

Then, Cincinnati took the lead when Burrow hit wide receiver Andrei Iosivas for a 3-yard score early in the second quarter.

Bengals get clutch stop

It was a quiet second half for both offenses, and Cincinnati’s defense forced a turnover on downs in the red zone in the final minute of the game to seal the victory.

FINAL: Miami Dolphins 42, Carolina Panthers 21

Power football

After both teams went three-and-out to begin the game, Chuba Hubbard finished off a seven-play Panthers drive with a gritty, 6-yard rushing touchdown.

Building a lead

Trevor Lawrence found an open Christian Kirk for a 29-yard score, giving the Jags a 21-3 lead late in the second quarter.

Catch of the year candidate!

Early in the third quarter, Colts WR Alec Pierce pulled off a wild one-handed catch with his body going away from the ball.
