U.S. details Daimler diesel emissions settlement

The German automaker will pay a civil penalty totaling $875 million, about $3,500 for each vehicle that was sold in the U.S. It’s largest per-vehicle civil penalty judgment imposed for a mobile emissions violation under the Clean Air Act, the government said.
