UAW presses Detroit 3 for 2-week plant shutdown, sets deadline tonight
UAW President Rory Gamble said if the union is not satisfied that workers are being adequately protected, it “will take this conversation to the next level,” without elaborating on what that could mean. The union asked automakers for a two-week shutdown based on CDC guidelines. A similar situation also is emerging in Canada.
